Mineola, Texas — The MCM Homestead is a 2,750-square-foot mid-century modern revival, currently under construction, rooted in memory. Built on land the homeowner inherited from her grandparents, the project is organized around a single object: the family dinner table she grew up around, the site of holidays, gatherings, and quiet weeknights. That table now sits at the center of the home, both literally and conceptually, with sightlines from every private room, public space, and exterior gathering area drawing the eye back to it. Architecture here serves memory, framing the table as the gravitational center of family life past and future.

The exterior speaks the language of mid-century revival, with low-pitched roof lines, deep eaves, and crisp horizontal articulation rendered in dark black brick that lends the home a quiet, timeless presence. Inside, the plan opens generously toward the table, allowing daily life to orbit a single point of connection. The result is a residence where heritage and contemporary craft coexist, and where the act of gathering is the project’s enduring brief.
